Students were asked to submit a short video to YouTube that answers the question, “How would you engage your students?” if they were the instructor for a day. By creating a one- to two-minute video, students showed us what they would do to get fellow students engaged and involved in the learning process — and, boy, did they show us their creativity skills!
The results are in…it’s time to vote for your favorite!
We received over one hundred entries, and narrowed the field to 10 student finalists! Visit Cengage Learning’s Instructor for a Day homepage to view the 10 finalists’ videos. The video with the most votes will receive a $1000 scholarship, and 5 runners-up will receive $500 each.
What to look for when voting
A panel of independent judges factored in the following criteria when selecting the finalists. You may also want to keep these criteria in mind when voting:
- Originality and creativity
- Overall appeal
- Quality and completeness of answer to “How would you engage students?”
- Audio/visual quality
- Overall impact
Show your support for these talented students – you can vote up to once per day until voting closes on Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
